What is Coles Circle?

Coles Circle is a place for you to discuss ideas, opinions and experiences about shopping with other shoppers. Conversations vary; we may be talking about package designs or shopping habits today, and tomorrow, we’ll be talking about what’s in your basket.

How are my survey responses handled?

Survey responses are collated and analysed collectively by The Evolved Group, and are then presented and used by key team members in Coles, who will then use this data to make informed decisions on how to improve Coles' product and services.

At Coles, we respect the privacy of your personal information in our care, and abide by the and abide by The Privacy Act 1988, including the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles, which apply to Coles.

Will you respond to every post on Coles Circle?

In short, no. Coles Circle is a place for you to discuss ideas with other shoppers, and for Coles Circle to listen to that discussion. The Team at Coles Circle will read every post, and where we can add value, we will comment.

If an idea of mine is implemented, will I get credit?

If an idea of yours is implemented, we will give you credit on our community, but we won’t be providing compensation to members if we use an idea discussed on Coles Circle. Please take the time to look through our Terms and Conditions if you would like to know more.

How do I give some feedback on my local store?

If you would like provide feedback about a store, or speak directly with Coles, please get in touch with the Coles Customer Care team, who are on hand to listen and action your queries. I am new to Coles Circle. How do I get started?

Please register for Coles Circle by providing us with your First Name, Last name and email address and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Statement.

Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive an email confirming your email address and a link that will direct you to the Coles Circle site.

From there we’d love you to fill out some profile information so we can get to know you better and can tailor the most relevant content for you.

Any negative comments or content posted around religion or race can result in immediate withdrawal of your Coles Circle membership.

I’ve been a member of Coles Circle before, can I join again?

If you have been removed from Coles Circle, you may not re-join. If you have chosen to leave Coles Circle of your own accord but have changed your mind, please email contactus@colescircle.com.au and we can help reinstate your membership.

How do I update my details?

You can update your details at any time via your My Profile page.

Prizes and rewards

How do I earn points?

You can earn points on Coles Circle by being active on the community. Quick polls, surveys and conversations all earn you points. Each point gives you an entry into the monthly prize draw. Click on My Account in the top right hand corner of the page to see how many points you have earned. For more detail, you can also click on My Activity, which you will find on the My Account menu under My Prizes.

Can I lose points on the Coles Circle?

If you post the same comment multiple times on Coles Circle, the comments will be removed and points earned from these comments deducted from your account. Repeated posting of the same comment may result in the withdrawal of your membership.

Tell me more about the prize draws

Coles Circle offers entry into a monthly draw with a heap of prizes - 2 × $250, 5 × $100, 20 × $50 and 50 × $20 GiftPay eGift Cards. Every point you earn completing Coles Circle activities gives you another entry into the prize draw.

How do I collect my prize?

Prizes can be redeemed via the My Prizes then My Winnings page under My Account.

How will I receive my prize?

Your prize will be emailed to you when you redeem. The email will have a link to the GiftPay website where you select your gift card(s). If you do not receive the email containing the link, please get in touch with support@giftpay.com and they will be able to reissue the link to you.

Where can I use my gift card?

We have eGift cards valued from $5 to $200 from a variety of major retailers. Our partners include Coles, Kmart, iTunes, JB HI-FI, The Australian Cancer Research Foundation and Lifeline to name just a few. A full list of the currently available rewards can be viewed here. Prizes can only be used in Australia.

We encourage all members of Coles Circle to share the thoughts and experiences openly. Members are expected to be respectful of other members. Content deemed to be offensive, abusive, harassing, untrue or unkind will be removed from Coles Circle.

The best way to get the most out of Coles Circle is to be an active contributor. Share thoughts and opinions, be genuine and enjoy being a part of something fun.

Work with the moderators

The moderators are here to help ensure Coles Circle is an enjoyable place for members to have their say and share what matters to them. If you are asked to do something by a moderator, please do it. Ignoring moderator instructions may result in you being removed from Coles Circle.

Is it free?

Yes, the app is free to download. You will need a data plan or access to a Wi-Fi network to login and complete activities.

Will the look & feel of surveys and activities change when using the app?

If you are used to accessing Coles Circle from the mobile website, the app will look very similar. If you are used to accessing Coles Circle from a desktop, you will notice some differences.

Why use the app?

Using the app you can check in at your local store and get more relevant activities sent straight to the you. You can complete activities, upload photos, and take part in conversations on the go.

What if I get stuck?

If I only partially complete a survey on my mobile, can I then finish it on my computer?

Yes, as long as the survey is still running, you can pick up right where you left off.

What kind of recipes can I share?

Any you like! Baking, meals, drinks etc. We would like to see as many recipes as you are happy to share. Please note, recipes must be your own, and can’t be copied from a book or website. Refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information on what can be shared on Coles Circle.

What should I include?

It helps your fellow members if when you share a recipe, you also include:
  • A picture that you have taken.
  • Quantities that are as exact as you can be.
  • Tags, that will help other members find your recipe.
  • Instructions that are clear.

How can I find a recipe?

The Search function checks the recipe itself, as well as the ingredients and description.
